Where I Wander
Work which explores the nature of the places I habitually visit. This is where the idea of walking and working outside began. These are places that I photograph repeatedly marking the changes of the seasons and also some quite radical changes to the landscape, in particular the greening of Black Hill with the restoration work of the Moor for the Future Project. Out walking one New Year I discovered a magical scene, the moor grass clothed in ice glinting in the sun, in summer I find the cotton grass meadows and the cloud berry flowers, in autumn the heady scent of the ling. Sadly on other occasions I find the detritus of our civilisation I try to reflect all these things in the work.
